Top Of The Lake Guiding is a small, family-owned operation based in Glenorchy. Trips are private or very small group only, so there is time and space to slow down, ask questions and move at a pace that feels right for you. Guests are welcomed with manaakitanga – genuine care, hospitality and respect for who you are and where you come from.
Your guide brings experience across mental health, emergency services and outdoor adventures, with a strong sense of duty of care. Whether you are a first-time hunter, a family with children, or a seasoned angler or tramper, you will receive calm, patient guidance and clear communication from first enquiry through to the end of your trip.
Every trip is planned with safety and wellbeing at the centre. Before heading out, we talk through your experience, health and goals so the adventure is appropriate and enjoyable. A Health & Safety Disclosure form is completed and signed for all participants, and your guide carries communication, first aid and emergency plans suited to the terrain and activity.
